Our Town Treasurer & Tax Collector is responsible for the town's finances.
​
Treasurer duties include deposits of funds, payment of bills and employees, and maintaining all records for financial transactions. It also includes keeping the Select Board up-to-date on our current financial stance with monthly reporting on income & expenses to ensure we stay within our approved budget.

Tax Collector duties include collection of all property taxes, placement of liens, and tracking of all property and excise taxes for the town. She can also assist with property questions, tax questions, and other information regarding property in the town.​​
Select Board
Our Select Board is our executive body. They manage finances, set policies, prepare the budget, and appoint officials. They also are responsible for public safety, maintaining infrastructure and town property, and representing our best interests in regional and state matters.

Our Deputy Treasurer is important in ensuring our financial checks and balances are maintained.
She ensures our financial accounts are reconciled monthly and is also responsible for reviewing and signing all checks.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with local and state regulations including enforcing building, zoning, and shoreland zoning ordinances. Also for the issuance of permits for construction, plumbing, and improvements.
Planning Board
We have a robust planning board responsible for managing orderly development as well as recommending and amending local ordinances.
